Melding education with sensory exploration!
Saturday April 18th 8:00-10:00am Riverview Trail Head, Ventura River Preserve (OVLC) *Please note that the first few hundred feet of this hike have a steep incline from the parking lot to the preserve, however the trail after that will be flat and fairly smooth; we will likely be hiking 1-1.5 miles roundtrip.
What to Expect:
✨A slow meandering walk with lots of stops along the way to talk about and experience the individual plants around us. Usually no more than a mile in total distance.
✨Up close, personalized education about the plants currently growing, blooming, or emerging along the trail. Every walk is unique, in that every month, the climate and ecosystem shift through the seasons and there are new and exciting things to see and learn.
✨Opportunities to stop and photograph, sketch, or connect more deeply with individual plants.
