About the event
If you've ever admired the custom embroidery on a jean jacket, or wondered about adding a little more flair to an old pair of jeans; or you're just in need of a fun creative outlet...this workshop is for you!
Embroidery can be a deeply meditative and relatively inexpensive hobby. As an artist, I found that learning to paint with thread was very forgiving, allowing me to explore intuitively without the stress of worrying about ruining an art piece; and even imperfections and "mistakes" could bring about unexpected beauty.
During this two hour workshop, we'll learn about some of the basic stitches I use in my botanical embroidery and then have time to sit and stitch a beautiful botanical embroidery piece together. All materials will be provided and all levels of experience are welcome!
